John Fogerty releases ’50 Year Trip: Live At Red Rocks’ album today
Out today (November 8th) is John Fogerty’s latest live album, 50 Year Trip: Live At Red Rocks.
A concert film of the Red Rocks concert captured last June in Morrison, Colorado will be shown for one night theatrically — on Veterans Day, November 11th — via Fathom Events.
John Fogerty says that while working on the mix for the film’s soundtrack, he realized he was sitting on yet another killer live album: “I didn’t think I realized until I sat down to listen to it with Bob Clearmountain, who’s handling the recording and also the mixing of the sound. To me, it was kind of, ‘Well, we better check this one for flaws (laughs) or whatever. And after, like, two songs, I was, just sort of, like, kidnapped. It went right through and I got all the way to the end and I didn’t even come up for air, you might say. It flowed so well; ‘Wow — that was pretty fun!’ Which is for me, pretty unusual. I’m usually fairly critical of my own stuff.”
The track listing to 50 Year Trip: Live At Red Rocks is: “Born On The Bayou,” “Green River,” “Lookin’ Out My Back Door,” “Susie Q,” “Who’ll Stop the Rain,” “Hey Tonight,” “Up Around The Bend,” “Rock And Roll Girls,” “I Heard It Through The Grapevine,” “Long As I Can See The Light,” “Run Through The Jungle,” “Keep On Chooglin’,” “Have You Ever Seen The Rain,” “Down On The Corner,” “Centerfield,” “The Old Man Down The Road,” “Fortunate Son,” “Bad Moon Rising,” and “Proud Mary.”
