About Van:
Van started listening to KSHE in 1987 when he was 12 years old and moved from Chicago to Belleville.
Van remembers skipping school to check out KSHE’s greasy spoon tour stop at Hy Ho in Belleville in ’92 or ’93.
When Van left for college, he had a big KSHE bumper sticker on the side of his record player to always remind him of home.
Van says KSHE has been a big influence in his life and the music keeps bringing him back to the time and place in his past where great memories were made.
Van served in the U.S. Army for 6 years. He deployed to Afghanistan in 2012. He also played ice hockey at Illinois State University.
