Name: Robert Burns

From: Collinsville, IL

About Robert:

Robert served 10 years in the Army, 8 years active duty, 2 years reserves. He spent 3 year’s in Bayreuth (Buy-Ryod), Germany, 1 1/2 years in Fort Sill Oklahoma, 1 1/2 years at Aberdeen Proving Grounds Maryland, and 2 years at Fort Riley in Kansas

Robert was part of the Big Red One Infantry and his main MOS was 13 foxtrot, forward observer. His secondary MOS was 63 Hotel / Lema 8. 63 Hotel was track vehicle repair and recovery. The Lema 8 was also track vehicle repair, but it was for the new Abrams Tank M1A1 and the Bradley Fighting vehicle diesel mechanic. E-6 was his rank

Robert started listening to KSHE because of his older brothers. When they were going up, he was the youngest brother. He always wanted to hang out with his big brothers and be like them. He remembers them talking about KSHE and Sweetmeat. He saw a picture of Sweetmeat and he thought that is was the coolest thing ever. He thinks he was like maybe 10 or 11 years old

Robert likes the way KSHE has always kept it real for the rock and roll community in the area

Robert loves all the KSHE disc jockeys, but he has to say that U-Man, Lern, and Mark Klose are his favorites

Robert loves the KSHE Morning Rock Show

Robert’s favorite thing about KSHE is that the station has always played rock ’n roll and has never changed formats

Robert is a single parent and has two wonderful daughters. His one daughter likes KSHE just as much as he does and she’s a big fan of Pink Floyd

Robert works at a place called Stone Wheel, Inc. He drives a delivery truck all around the St. Louis metro area delivering car parts, so he gets to listen to KSHE all day long

Robert likes fishing, camping, hanging out with family and friends, but mostly his daughters
