Phil Moore of Godfrey, IL became a Real Rock Hero in the Real Rock Army today!


Phil served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years active and 5 years active reserve for a total of 11 years

Phil served on three ships, The USS Coral Sea CV-43-aircraft carrier, The USS High Point PCH-1-hydrofoil and the USS Albert David FF-1050-fast frigate

Phil was a Fire Control Technician for Gun Weapon Systems and was a Petty Officer Second Class

Phil proudly served his country and received an RE-R1 Honorable Discharge, which is the highest discharge available. He’s still a patriotic citizen and supports and appreciates all veterans past and present + is a supporter of the USO

Phil has been listening to KSHE since he was twelve years old

Phil says KSHE plays the sounds he grew up with and newer music as well

Phil never changes the radio station in his car. It’s always on KSHE

Phil is married to his wife Laura and they have one son Chris. His son plays guitar in a local St. Louis band called Everything Went Black. They also have one grandson, Miles

Phil is 64 and retired. His hobbies are music and traveling

Phil currently has kidney disease and he’s waiting to start dialysis and will hopefully receive a kidney transplant someday soon
