
Paul Simon of St. Peters, MO became a Real Rock Hero in the Real Rock Army today … brought to you by Sievers Equipment and Sievers JCB!
Paul served 22 years in the U.S. Coast Guard from April 1978 to April 2000 and retired as Chief Petty Officer. Most of his career was in pay and personnel. He stationed in the St. Louis area 3 different times and also in Miami, Charleston, Chattanooga, New Orleans and Portsmouth, NH. After retiring, he continued to work for our Armed Forces as an Archives Technician at the Military Records Center before again retiring in 2022
Paul has one very exciting sea story while serving on the Coast Guard Cutter Tamaroa. He was on board in October 1991 for what was later to be named the Perfect Storm. Of all his stations, this was by far the best
Paul has been listening to KSHE since high school in the mid-70s. Monday Night Metal and Sunday’s with the U-Man are his favorites
Paul has been married for 44 years (45 in January) and has 2 sons, both married, and 3 wonderful granddaughters
Paul is now learning German online and hopes to someday visit Germany
Paul and his wife love to cruise with their family and have also made several car trips to visit National Parks out west, Niagara Falls and Canada
