About Mike:
Mike is a Chief Petty Officer, E7, US Navy Retired and served from 1978 to 2000. He was a Chief Operations Specialist and served on 3 ships, USS Bagley, USS Whidbey Island, and USS Stump during Desert Storm / Shield. The Stump was a player in the Tomahawk strike in January ’93 launching 13 missiles, and he was the watch officer in CIC during the launch. He also served as an assistant boarding officer during maritime interdiction operations in the Red Sea. He was the Boat Captain of Patrol Boat 758, basically a 65 foot gun boat, and later a Patrol Officer of a two boat detachment. He also had many other duties over a 22 year career
Mike is the son of Radarman 1st class Gene Lehman who gave his life onboard the USS Frank E Evans DD-754 in a collision with the HMAS Melbourne on June 3, 1969 in the South China sea. He was 7 at the time, and made his decision to join the Navy at that time. He joined the Navy at 17. His dad was career Navy and all his uncle’s and relatives have also served. Upon retirement in 2000, he moved home to Minnesota and worked as a corrections officer with the Hennepin and Ramsey county Sheriff’s office. He retired from corrections in 2017 and moved to Saint Charles

Mike loves classic rock and KSHE reminds him of KQRS in Minneapolis, which he grew up listening to when his Mom wasn’t around, or with an earphone jammed in his ear from my old transistor radio
Mike has been married to his sweetie Renee for 35 years and they have 4 sons, one of which is still in Minnesota
Mike works part time at Schnucks as a stocker
Mike loves riding his 2014 Harley Road King, listening to music, and reading. He is also taking guitar lessons through the VA with Six String Heroes and really loves it
