About Matt:

Matt started listening to KSHE back in the 70s!

Matt says KSHE has always played the greatest real rock while mixing in the best of the new real rock!

When Matt was in the U.S. Peace Corps in Armenia back in 1997-1999, he had his family record KSHE onto cassettes and mail them to him so he could hear the sounds of home! He played those cassettes over and over and even knew all the ads!

One of Matt’s strongest memories of KSHE is connected to politics. It was the day after George W. Bush got re-elected in 2004. Matt was driving to an interview and listening to KSHE. John Ulett was on the air and mentioned that Bush had won, and then the U-Man started the following 3-song set that may or may not have been in reference to Bush winning, but reflected Matt’s feelings: “Back for More” by Ratt, “Highway To Hell” by AC/DC, and “Fall To Pieces” by Velvet Revolver.

KSHE songs that get Matt through the day:

AC/DC – It’s A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock ‘N’ Roll); Aerosmith – Seasons Of Wither; Autograph – Turn Up The Radio; The Cult – New York City; The Doors – Take It As It Comes, L.A. Woman; Foo Fighters – Best Of You; Judas Priest – Fever; Shinedown – Sound Of Madness; Van Halen – Best Of Both Worlds
