Joe was a Specialist 5, United States Army, July 15, 1969 – February 19, 1971.

After training, he served in Vietnam from December 9, 1969 through February 17, 1971. He served initially with the 1st Supply and Transport Battalion, 1st Infantry Division inDiAn. When they were re-deployed to the U.S., he was transferred to the 55th Military Intelligence Detachment, 1st Field Force in Nha Trang

Joe started listening to KSHE in high school in the winter of 1967, very shortly after KSHE started it all with White Rabbit in November. He’s been a listener ever since, with the exception of his tour with the U.S. Army. He missed rock ‘n roll so bad in Vietnam, his parents sent him his turntable and a few rock albums to listen to, including Iron Butterfly, The Rolling Stones, and more

Joe likes that KSHE has been around since 1967 and hopefully will be around forever, playing the best classic rock

Joe listens to KSHE daily for his daily dose of rock ’n roll music

Joe is a native of St. Louis and currently lives in Wildwood

Joe has been married for 44 years and they have three daughters and four grandchildren (so far)

Joe is a retired business executive (finance and operations), and now he’s just kicking back and trying to stay healthy

Joe makes many trips to the hardware store to keep everything at home operational

KSHE songs Joe wanted to hear today:

Jefferson Airplane – White Rabbit
Mötley Crüe – Girls, Girls, Girls
The Rolling Stones – Ruby Tuesday
