Name: Jeff Gustafson

From: St. Louis, MO

About Jeff:

Jeff is a retired U.S. Army Combat Engineer. He worked with explosives for 20 years and still has all his original body parts (and now a few more pounds)

Jeff retired as a Master Sergeant in 2008. While serving, he has been stationed in Germany, CA, HI, KY, MO (where he was a Drill SGT) and has been deployed to Haiti, Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq (X3) and Afghanistan

Jeff says joining and serving in the Army has been one of his best life decisions he ever made. He loved the lifestyle, travel and camaraderie

Jeff has since gone back to college and works at the Siteman Cancer Center in South County. He’s still serving his fellow Americans as he is a medical hero to the hundreds of patients he sees each week

Jeff is a fan of the K-SHE of the Day and wonders when Lern will have her day

Jeff has a wonderful wife Suzanne whom he dated in high school until she went to college and he joined the Army. 25 years later, they reconnected on Facebook while he was in Afghanistan. Two years later, they married and have been (happily) ever since

Jeff has three daughters from an ex-wife who live in TN and AZ. His oldest (in AZ) has a boy and a girl, so he’s papa to them

Jeff does woodworking crafts and makes latch hook rugs in his spare time
