Name: Jason Turpin

From: St. Louis, MO

About Jason:

Jason started listening to KSHE in the late 1970s … when permanent memories started

Jason visited the Crestwood location back in the day and the Union Station one as well in the 1990s

Jason loves rock! He says KSHE takes him back, but keeps him in the now. Hearing a song he hasn’t heard in decades makes his day

Jason grew up with rock on vinyl and KSHE. During high school, he was interviewed on air for the 20th anniversary of Stairway to Heaven, singing at the Fox Theater with Smash. He should have been at school for finals

Jason says his first electric guitar, which he took/stole from his mom, he picked up one day at age 10 or so and learned some old AC/DC. That started his life-long love of playing music

Jason says because of KSHE, he now eats at Raising Cane’s

Jason was born in Belleville, IL, and is currently living in Soulard. He is raising twins that attend the language immersion charter school, learning French

Jason loves camping, playing guitar, and being crazy in general

Jason says he will never grow old, except for his body

Jason is a software developer at Protective Life
