Name: James George

From: St. Louis, MO

About James:

James served in the Army in the Active and Reserve Components during his 17 years of service. He was Infantry, then became a Psychological Operations Specialist and Intelligence Analyst. He served on duty in support of all the campaigns in Southeast Asia. During the Cold War, late 1980’s, he was acknowledged as Soldier of the Year in the 2nd Army for Reservists grade E-1 through E-4. In 2003-2004, he was responsible for transporting mobilizing reservists & National Guard units during their monthlong preparation to go to Afghanistan during the initial call up for Operation Enduring Freedom and again upon their demobilizing, 2004-2005. He has continued to support other veterans through volunteering at the USO and participating in Veteran charities and fund raisers.

James likes the sharing of music information by the KSHE DJ’s. Using their experiences and knowledge to enlighten the audience of not only current activities, but their impressions and memories of their experience with a band, person, concert, etc.

James say being a fan of rock music isn’t an art form, it’s an experience. As much as he loves hearing the KSHE Klassics Show to hear more about the ‘old days’ he didn’t experience, he also enjoys listening to the younger/newer DJ’s and their reviews of concerts and events. We can all learn from each other and should have an open mind when it comes to music

James says rock ’n roll is not just 60s and 70s as some of the fans think, it’s alive and continues to grow and expand. KSHE continues that and needs to continue to doing so

James rides his Harley with his wife all around the area and within a day’s ride

James loves to tinker on anything broken and upgrading anything that can be improved

James enjoys the couch in the evening with his wife and their two dogs

James looks forward to Sunday mornings around the house doing projects and listening to the U-Man
