Jake has been listening to KSHE for as long as he can remember!
Jake says when he thinks of St. Louis, the first things that come to mind are Anheuser-Busch, Cardinals baseball, Blues hockey and KSHE 95! These 4 are the pride and joy of the city!
Jake feels spoiled to watch the Cardinals make the playoffs almost every year. The excitement of the crowd after the Towel Guy rings in a Blue’s goal is hard to match. But KSHE concerts compete with them both. He enjoys all of the events and regularly enjoys them while drinking Budweiser beer. There’s just no place else that provides this kind of entertainment!
Jake says he was prescribed a heavy dose of rock and cars at a young age. His dad is a real gear-head and in the summer, they’d hit car shows every weekend. The KSHE car show was always his favorite. He thought seeing the old muscle cars rumble into the lot was so bad ass. On top of that, songs like Kickstart My Heart and Bad Motor Scooter came out of the KSHE van and blew his little mind. He has been hooked on KSHE ever since!
Jake’s earliest memories of KSHE was riding around in his dad’s 69’ Shelby GT500. His dad would ask him what he wanted to hear, “KSHE or Country?” He’d just head bang and say, “KSHE! Hit the pedal to the metal!” He’d turn the dial and lay a skid mark up the street!
Jake says KSHE makes St. Louis a better place. The concerts, the blood drives and the car shows are what bring the community together!
Jake says KSHE’s history totally fascinates him. The fact that 94.7 is one of the first rock stations to hit the FM airwaves is remarkable!
Jake says the Real Rock Museum is an awesome site for fans to look at, but I don’t think any fan will be satisfied until we can go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to recognize KSHE’s accomplishments!
Jake thinks Sweetmeat is the coolest mascot of all time and he alone should receive some admiration!
Jake says, “All in all, KSHE 95 has the best broadcast of rock music and I believe Wayne’s World said it best, “WE”RE NOT WORTHY!”
Jake would really like to try and fit into Favazz’s luggage one day on the way down to Cabo and party with the Red Rocker for his birthday!
