Gary Rickert of St. Louis, MO joined the Real Rock Army today!
Gary’s favorite time to listen is on Sundays for the KSHE Klassics Show. Good tunes and songs make every day a better day, and hearing KSHE Klassics played loud keeps him feeling young and happy
Gary appreciates KSHE introducing him to so many great artists and bands through all of these years
Gary says in the late 70s, him and his best friends from Lindbergh High School would skip school for a couple of days in a row, for almost every concert being announced, to go over to start the waiting lines at various ticket outlets to get 1st – 5th row center seats to every Beaver and Contemporary Productions show. He says the best show ever they got seats for, were seats #1 & 2, center aisle, first row at Kiel Opera House for AC/DC’s Back In Black tour
Gary and his wife Linda and have been married for 25 years and they have 3 children in their 20s who he has raised listening to KSHE. His oldest son plays guitar and collects them and has the 4 Led Zeppelin logos tatted in a vertical line on the back of his calve. He says they go to see Celebration Day together every year
Gary says he and his family like to take advantage of floating on kayaks on the many awesome rivers in our region. He has not missed a single year of floating Missouri rivers since his first float trip which was in the fall of 1979 on the KSHE Float
Gary’s motorcycle license plate is “KSHE95.” He had a small round metal plate fabricated that has the 50 year sticker on the front side and a Sweetmeat sticker on the back side
Gary has been working in the Occupational Health and Safety field since 1993, making a living by trying to help people from getting hurt at work
