Frank Holley of Valley Park, MO joined the Real Rock Army today!

Frank moved to St. Louis from Onondaga Indian Nation in Upstate New York in 1975

Frank and his cousin went for a ride when he first got to St. Louis and they went to Mars Gas Station. Their yellow Ford Pinto stalled out and they turned the radio to KSHE 95 and Smoke On The Water was playing along with some of the best songs he ever heard

Frank used to skip school to go to the window on the side of KSHE in Crestwood and that’s where he first met Ruth Hutchinson, the worlds oldest and DJ. They would hang out smoking hand rolled cigarettes, drinking Busch beer and more

Frank actually lived across the street from the guys in Mama’s Pride and now his son is friends with Max Bakers’ son

Frank’s son Steven was born in 1993 and has listened to KSHE all his life. He has played guitar since he was 3 years old and his first guitar was BC Rich Phantom. The first songs he learned were by Rainbow, Tom Petty & Aerosmith

Frank has given blood at the KSHE Blood Drives since he was 16 years old. He has a rare blood disease called mother father mutation and he was unable to give last year, but really wanted a t-shirt. His girlfriend gave blood for him and got him a shirt in his size

Frank had a stroke 6 years ago which landed him in the hospital for 6 months and he had to learn how to walk, talk, eat and sleep all over again. He lost half of the left side of his brain and he is still rehabilitating and in his workouts, he listens to KSHE and the songs that his son has written

Frank has all the seeds albums from KSHE and he feels proud to have a great radio station to listen to

KSHE songs Frank wanted to hear today:

Head East – Never Been Any Reason
Scorpions – The Zoo
Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band – Her Strut
