Dan Swoboda of Algona, IA joined the Real Rock Army today!
Dan says KSHE was what fully introduced him into rock and roll
Dan can remember as a little kid taking a car trip with his dad and he asked if he wanted to listen to music he listened to when he was growing up. He turned the knob and the first song Dan heard on KSHE was “Frankenstein” by the Edgar Winter Group. From then on he would lock himself in his room just listening to everything KSHE had to offer on the airwaves, from Aerosmith to Van Halen, from Led Zeppelin to Queen, and from Kiss to Boston
Dan says KSHE still plays songs that he plugs into his daily playlist and KSHE has been a staple station since he was 7 years old
Dan’s family lives out just shy of Wentzville, in the tiny town of New Melle. He grew up there until going off to college at the University of Central Missouri
Dan says listening to KSHE solidified his decision to pursue a degree in multimedia production, to where he graduated with a degree in broadcasting
Dan currently lives in Iowa after securing a job at a local radio station and he thanks KSHE for helping provide the inspiration to having one of the coolest jobs he can ever think of
Dan still continues to cheer on his St. Louis Blues surrounded by Minnesota Wild fans, and he enjoys a tasty plate of toasted ravioli
KSHE songs Dan wanted to hear today:
AC/DC – Hells Bells
Edgar Winter Group – Frankenstein
Golden Earring – Radar Love
