About Dan:

Dan was an Aviation Ordnanceman Petty Officer 3rd Class (AO3) … landscaping and population control. He loaded live ordnance on F/A-18’s for missions. He was also a Team Leader and served as a CAG Arm/Dearm member. This simply means no jet left the carrier with ordnance that we didn’t arm at take off and de-arm if they brought it back

Dan is a Desert Storm Veteran and Operation Restore Hope (Somalia 1993) Veteran. He proudly served in the United States Navy on Carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and the USS Kitty Hawk. He served from 1992-1996

Dan has listened to KSHE since he was five years old. He remembers his brothers listening to the station and he would steal their radio when they weren’t using it and run outside and listen to it. He’d walk the ditches catching snakes, turtles, crawfish, frogs and salamanders with the radio in the other hand

Dan loves the KSHE Morning Rock Show and the history behind the station

Dan met his wife in the military, who is also a Veteran of the United States Navy. She was a a AD3 (jet engine mechanic) and worked in AIMD at Naval Air Station Lemoore in California, which was their duty station for spousal duty

Dan and his wife married in 1992 and they are getting ready to celebrate their 27th anniversary in December this year

Dan and his wife have two amazing kids, Sarah (23) and Max (17) and two grandchildren (Gwen) 3 and Mathias (1)

Dan works for Boeing in St Charles and his wife works at B&K Bakery in Mt. Olive, IL

Dan has owned and operated his own taxidermy business for over 20 years and is retiring from it this year

Dan’s hobbies include hunting, bowfishing, being in the woods & creeks and searching for Indian artifacts, arrowheads, etc.
