Chris Freimann of Highland, IL became a Real Rock Hero in the Real Rock Army today!
1st Lieutenant Chris Freimann began his military career in December of 2002, enlisting in Active Duty as a Heavy Equipment Operator. In 2008 (then Sgt) Chris was selected as a Military Training Leader where he trained over 40,000 new Airmen annually. Following that 4 year Special Duty Tour, Chris went on to serve as a Heavy Equipment Operator (823d Red Horse), and eventually went on to become a commissioned officer in 2017. Chris has since served as the Officer in Charge of Cyber Engineering and Installations with the 217th Engineering Installations Squadron – 183d Wing, Illinois Air National Guard
Chris has dedicated the past 20 years to serving in any way he can. With an early deployment less than a year into his career, to his humanitarian tours supporting hurricane response on the gulf coast in in Puerto Rico. More recently Chris left his amazing wife and 2 boys with only a few days notice to join in the rescue/refugee efforts on Afghan citizens in crisis
Chris is a proud Father of 2 boys (Carson, 10 and Clay, 4), luckiest husband in the world (wife Christie), and dad to their fur buddy (Cooper). Together they have the best rock band name (The 5 Cs) this side of the river
Chris loves spending time with his boys, golfing with his oldest (way better short game than him) and playing Xbox or dinosaurs with his youngest (way better at xbox than him). If he is not playing with the boys, he is trying to find the next great dish to smoke, or simply spending time with his wife on the couch – enjoying the most important thing in the world – FAMILY
Chris likes nothing better than turning up the garage radio and listening to Vinyl Exam or Sammy Hagar’s Top Rock Countdown
Chris says no matter where you are (home, work, are on the road) there is no reason to not have KSHE on! His 4 year old demands it and he will not let him leave the driveway without “his station” (KSHE) being on the truck radio
KSHE songs Chris wanted to hear today:
Sammy Hagar – I Can’t Drive 55
Don Henley – The Boys of Summer
Def Leppard – Pour Some Sugar on Me
