Name: Chaz Kennedy

From: Festus, MO

Works at: Local 36 Union Sheet Metal Worker

About Chaz:

Chaz has been a faithful KSHE listener since 1971 when one of his older brothers got his first stereo for Christmas!

Chaz says that one of his fondest memories is when his oldest brother took him to the KSHE Kite Fly in 1975. He was proudly wearing his Sweetmeat t-shirt that his brother gave him the previous Christmas. He can still remember watching Rush for the first time and when Charlie Daniels played “Trudy.” He lost his brother in 1980, but the rock lives on with KSHE!

Chaz likes that KSHE has held firm to its rock and roll roots, just as he has!

Chaz was born and raised in Festus, MO and says the U-Man used to be pretty tough on Jefferson Countians in the early days!

KSHE songs that get Chaz through the day:

Electric Light Orchestra – Roll Over Beethoven, James Gang – Funk #49, The Charlie Daniels Band – Trudy, Thin Lizzy – Cowboy Song, Stevie Ray Vaughan – Pride and Joy, Roy Buchanan – Can I Change my Mind (1975 Livestock Version), The Marshall Tucker Band – Can’t You See, Little River Band – Its a Long Way There, Eagles – Hotel California, Blues Travelers – Hook

Congratulations to Chaz Kennedy from Festus, MO, our “Listener of the Day”!
