Carey Hunter

Carey Hunter Rra

Name: Carey Hunter

From: St. Louis, MO

About Carey:

Carey says KSHE introduced her to music that she had never heard before … like ‘Children Of The Sun,’ ‘Never Been Any Reason,’ and ‘Movin’ On,’ to name just a few

Carey moved to St. Louis in the summer of 1988 and loved the hair bands, but with KSHE she was introduced to music outside of the box and she gained a new appreciation for artists outside her “hair band box”

Carey has always been a Sammy Hagar fan and was more of a Sammy before Van Hagar fan, so she loves the fact that KSHE has played Sammy before Van Hagar. Not that she doesn’t love Sammy’s Van Halen years, there is just a lot of great material before Van Halen

Carey loves that KSHE plays the old Elton John music. There are some rockin’ tunes that you just don’t hear on the radio, like ‘All the Young Girls Love Alice’

Carey says KSHE plays those artists that bring back memories of her high school years and when she first moved here

Carey says KSHE has been rocking her world since 1988 and the station keeps her memories alive and makes new ones with new music

Carey is married with 6 kiddos between her and her husband (4 from his previous marriage and 2 for her from her previous marriage). Between them they we have 3 boys and 3 girls (ages 14-24) they are the Brady Bunch with no Alice 🙂

Carey currently works at a middle school and loves her job! She says no two days are the same and the hours are nice

Carey’s hobbies include. listening to KSHE, mountain biking, running for fun, hiking, camping, fishing (especially trout fishing), attending live concerts, being a tourist in her home town, traveling, crafting, and checking out new micro brews
