Lern’s Weekend

Friday:

Since I was off work, I slept in just enough until I realized that the new David Letterman series on Netflix just came out, with first guest Barack Obama and then I lied in bed and watched that. It was pretty good. Much different than the old Dave we all know but interesting. I love interviews and so, I will love this show.

After breakfast, I got my crap together to go to the grocery store and to get a manicure/pedicure. As I was driving to get a latte from Starbucks, my husband called to ask if I wanted to meet him in Clayton at ‘Sauce on the Side’ for lunch. So after my nails were done, we had a delicious  midafternoon meal and then he came home with me.

In the evening I went to Hot Shots to judge the Miss HotShots contest alongside Lux from the Point, some guys from some sports stations and Ken Bone. It was a good time and the ladies were GORGEOUS! I drank many free beers and had a great time! Thank you, Rizzuto Show for having me.

Saturday:

Slept in but then got my hungover butt into Crossfit. Halfway through the work out my headache started wearing off, thankfully.

In the afternoon, Tim and I just hung out around the house with fires and relaxing.

For dinner I met up with my friends, Kelly and Kelsie and took them to Prasino in St Charles. This place is super delicious! Afterward we headed to historic St Charles to dance at Quintessential all night. I danced my ass off! Sweated off all of the toxins!

Sunday:

Slept in, again, and then hung out around the house…just a lazy weekend. Tim had a basketball game at the South County YMCA, so I went up to watch him play. Afterward, we met up with our friends, Leah and JJ at Corner Pub in Valley Park where I did shots and drank a bloody mary… the whole weekend for me was about drinking, which I haven’t done in a while.

Monday:

I woke up to meet my friend Lauren at the station. She is applying for a radio show and had some questions, so I gave her a little tour and showed her around the studio.  After that I read some Martin Luther King Jr. quotes and really stopped to appreciate that it was his day. I also thought about John, as it was his birthday, too! Two great men!

I closed out my extended weekend by watching the Office marathon on Comedy Central while making dinner and hanging out with Clover and Tim.

Relaxing weekend! I am grateful

Carl’s Weekend

Friday:

Went to see Star Wars The Last Jedi…again…on the big screen…because I could! And also because my wife was the only member of the family who had not seen it yet and she wanted to go…

Saturday:

Enjoyed the hospitality of Chef Liz and her team at Tenacious Eats for the dinner screening of Fast Times at Ridgemont High.  We had a great table of fun people to hang out with and saw a lot of other familiar faces enjoying the show as well, including our friends at Allied, Sir Smashington and his lovely date, Lux & Bon and the guys from Odds Lane.

Sunday:

Began with my daughter’s confirmation class.  Then dropped her off at Priory for Robotics Team while I went to my friend Thom’s house to watch football.

Monday:

Slept in…because I could!  Then my wife made brunch of Italian Toast.  It’s like French Toast, but you use the Italian Panettone Cake instead of bread.  Spent the evening helping my daughter make calls to family and friends who wanted to order Girl Scout cookies.

Vice’s Weekend

Friday:

After I left the station I met with my parents for lunch. Then I went home and took a nap until it was time for me to go out to the bars with my friends to celebrate my friends birthday. We went up and down the bars on Main Street in Collinsville, Illinois.

Saturday:

I did not get out of bed until after 11 without an hang over which was nice. I spent most of the day just relaxing and I had a movie night with my girlfriend we watched the movie Dunkirk.

Sunday:

Was another lazy day for me I did not do very much besides catch up on some sleep and I also had a chance to play some video games. That night around 9:45 I went and played ice hockey with some buddies and did not get home until 2 in the morning.

Monday:

I enjoyed my day off by going to the gym and working on school work.
