Morning Rock Show
Weekend Update: April 23rd, 2018
College, the Prowl and Star Wars...
My weekend began with a station promotional event at Cricket Wireless in High Ridge. Thanks to everyone who came by to say hi. After that I PA’d the Cardinals game against the Reds. With my wife out of town as usual I was on the prowl but decided to get a medium Imo’s pizza after the game and ate it all by my self and washed it down with a beer. Saturday morning I ran a 5-K then PA’d the Cardinals game and an amateur game Saturday evening. Even though I was on the prowl with my wife out of town for the second night in a row, I chose to pick up an Imo’s Pizza and ate the whole thing by myself with a beer to wash it down with another beer. Sunday I PA’d the Cardinals game and then had dinner with my daughter Sophia. Thanks for reading this. Uman
After getting off work I met up with my ol’ friend, Aimee and her little boy, Jordan at Prasino in St. Charles. We had a wonderful late lunch catching up. She and I both worked at Fallon’s and met there because we would work the same shifts most of the time. Her little boy is super cute and we had a delicious lunch.
When I got home, I was exhausted from the rush hour traffic – I don’t know how people can do it, daily. I am thankful with the hours I work for this reason in particular.
Tim and I watched, ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ and then called it a night.
Woke up early to get on the road to Kirksville, MO to visit my sister at Truman State. My mom was already there and we all walked the campus and did a tour through the town. My sister LOVES college and I enjoyed meeting her new friends and seeing her life up there. We had dinner at a cute place called, ‘AJ’s’ and then went back to the hotel room to laugh our asses off at the comments from the FB live feed from Thursday night’s Steelville ‘Queen of Hearts’ drawing – if you get a chance, go watch the 40 minute video and be sure to read the comments – I laughed until I cried.
Drove back to St Louis and then did some home décor shopping. Made dinner and reset for the week ahead.
It was my daughter’s Confirmation weekend. Yea, Holy Spirit.
Got my RunDisney medal in the mail for my virtual half-marathon. I had lunch with Rich & Terri LoRusso to thank him for their generous gift to the KSHE family last week. Then I went to Carlinville, IL for the grand opening of their new O’Reilly Autoparts store. Thank you to Blake and Courtney for driving. On the way back, I joined my wife, daughter and sister-in-law at the Cardinals game, already in progress. After the game, stopped by the Geyer Inn in Kirkwood to see my buddy, Thom.
Headed out to St. Peter’s for the grand opening of Regions Bank new branch location. Thank you to everyone who came out. It was a great day and a good event. After the remote, since I was already most of the way there, I drove a little further to Hermann, MO to have lunch at Stone Hill Winery with my wife’s family. Next stop was the Chinese Noodle in the U-City Loop, before Thunderhead, a tribute to Rush. I was impressed with the show. The band was very good and I enjoyed hanging out with the them backstage with Dave, Christian & Thom. Also at the show a couple of guys I went with to Christian Brothers College High School. It was great to see everyone.
Headed out to Chesterfield for brunch at Annie Gunn’s with Grampy Jack & my girls. Then I dropped the girls off at the Symphony while I came down to pack up my desk. Then we went to David Sedaris at the Peabody. Thanks to Jen, Liz, Cassandra, Bianca & Darren at the Opera House for hosting us at the Peabody Club.
