Hero of the Day

Creve Coeur FPD: Paramedic, Firefighter, and Engineer 1997 to present
I joined the Army National Guard right after graduating high school, became an EMT and started riding an ambulance in 1987, and started as a firefighter in 1993. My whole adult life has been dedicated to public service. I was born in St. Louis and with the help of an older brother started listening to KSHE at a very early age. The first thing I do in any new vehicle is program KSHE as the number 1 preset. My favorite KSHE programs are The Morning Rock Show, KSHE Classics, and of course, The Seventh Day. John Ulett is a personal hero of mine (Go Cards!), as is Guy Favazz for his never-ending support of local musicians and the St. Louis music scene. KSHE has been the soundtrack for my life! We have grown up and old together (both born in 1967) and it would be a true honor for me to be named Hero of the Day. P.S. look for me running up and down Olive Blvd. in the Fire Truck or Ambulance in front of the new studio!
Rock N’ Roll Hero: Eric Clapton. He quit the Yardbirds just as they were becoming successful to stay true to his musical roots. He showed his human side with his infatuation with his best friends wife and his heroin addiction. His drug treatment center “Rainbow Bridge” has helped countless people over many years beat their addiction.
Favorite Budweiser Moment: The Budweiser Clydesdales! Every time they show up, it makes for a memorable event.
