John Ulett is a St. Louis on-air institution. The "U-Man" has been on-air at KSHE for over 35 years. Ulett hosts mornings on KSHE, as well as the popular KSHE Klassics show on Sunday mornings from 8am-noon. In case you were wondering whether this leaves John any spare time, consider that he is also the Public Address Announcer for the St. Louis Cardinals and is also a frequent host of many community events. All of this makes his voice one of St. Louis' most recognized. In his leisure time, John enjoys spending time with his kids and playing golf.
Rockers At Cardinals Games
7/24/2013 8:52:00 AM
I was talking on the air today about the Rockers who have either thrown out first pitches or sang the National Anthem at Cardinals games over the years. These are the memories I and our listeners could come up with today.
REO Speedwagon sang the anthem at a post season game in 2006.
Eddie Money sang the National Anthem in the late 80's or early 90's
Sammy Hagar at minimum has thrown out a first pitch
Steven Tyler threw out a first pitch in the late 90's or early 2000's
Geddy Lee threw out a first pitch on a Bryn Smith Jersey day. They were good friends.
Tre Cool of Green Day threw out a first pitch about 5 years ago
Huey Lewis threw out a first pitch in the 90's and may have sung the Anthem
Chuch Berry threw out a first pitch a few years ago.
Scott Stapp of Creed sang God Bless America at either the All-Star Game or a post-season game. Can't remember which.
There are probably some I'm forgetting about. If you know of one let me know. John
