Bruce Springsteen has just released his latest official bootleg digital download, marking the E Street Band's final concert at Philly's historical and beloved Spectrum. The new release, titled, Wachovia Spectrum - Philadelphia, PA - 10/20/09, captures the band's last stand at one of their "home away from homes" -- and underscoring the historic nature of the event, the band opens with The River classic, "The Price You Pay" marking the first time "The Boss" had tackled the tune since 1981.

In addition to a full album performance of 1984's Born In The U.S.A., the 31-song set includes guest spots by trumpeter Curt Ramm, E Street Band co-founding drummer Vini "Mad Dog" Lopez, and Bruce's mom -- Adele Springsteen. Rarities include takes on "Kitty's Back," "Loose Ends," Jackie Wilson's "(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher And Higher," and the Drifters' "Save The Last Dance For Me."

According to "Following the release of Philadelphia 2009, the Archival Download series will shift its attention even further back in time to cover more historic tours and performances.”

Over the years, no one has been able to describe the magic and mystery of rock n' roll better than Bruce Springsteen: "Rock is primarily about longing. All the great rock songs are about longing. 'Like A Rolling Stone' is about longing; 'How does it feel to be without a home?' -- 'Louie, Louie' (laughs)! You're yearning for --'Where's that big party that I know is out there, but I can't find it' (laughs), or 'Where's that girl that I know, or that partner, that's out there, but I can't find her?' Well, rock's a little map to those things and it's like a little pill you take that they can't give 'em to ya, but it can create a spark in you that leads you to them.”

Guitarist Nils Lofgren told us that without exception, the E Street Band remains the best oiled ensemble in the rock era: "To me it's. . . I think honestly they're as great a band as there's ever been in rock n' roll history -- y'know, selfishly. Because of the size of the band, the musicianship and the breadth of the songwriting over 40 years, I think it's the best band in history.”

The track-listing to Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band's Wachovia Spectrum - Philadelphia, PA - 10/20/09 is:

"The Price You Pay," "Wrecking Ball," "Out In The Street," "Hungry Heart," "Working On A Dream," "Born In The U.S.A.," "Cover Me," "Darlington County," "Working On The Highway," "Downbound Train," "I'm On Fire," "No Surrender," "Bobby Jean," "I'm Goin' Down," "Glory Days," "Dancing In The Dark," "My Hometown," "The Promised Land," "The River," "Long Walk Home," "The Rising," "Born To Run," "(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher And Higher," "Spirit In The Night," "Loose Ends," "Kitty's Back," "American Land," "Save The Last Dance For Me," "Waitin' On A Sunny Day," "Thunder Road," and "Rosalita (Come Out Tonight).”

Springsteen was inspired to take up music at the age of seven after seeing Elvis Presley on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1956 and growing up hearing fellow New Jersey singer, Frank Sinatra on the radio. Sinatra also inspired his style of songwriting, which was developed in his youth after his mother bought him his first guitar for $18
