Billionaire David Thomson has dumped his fiancee, former O.C. actress Kelly Rowan, just weeks after she gave birth to his child. It's a familiar move for Canada's richest man, who left his second wife when she was pregnant to be with Rowan. Kelly "was thrilled to have become pregnant at age 42," a source told the New York Daily News. "But when it came to actually getting married, there were too many problems. It was doomed."

Carmen Electra's newly-announced engagement may already be over. Life&Style magazine is reporting that the actress-model was dismayed to learn that former Korn guitarist Rob Patterson purchased her black diamond engagement ring on the internet -- for less than $2,000. "She seems really embarrassed," a source told the magazine. "I think the ring is a real deal breaker. She thought she'd be getting this giant rock. Instead, Rob bought it online for a bargain price!"

Although Al Reynolds' publicist said he would be "taking the high road" after his split from Star Jones was announced last month, the businessman posted a 485-word rant on his MySpace page on Tuesday (May 13th), blasting the media's depiction of him since Jones filed for divorce. Reynolds says he has been called "a gigolo, a freeloader, unemployed, a sham and many other things that don't bear repeating" in recent weeks. "As much as I want to defend myself, it seems like a silly and futile exercise," he wrote. "it's clear that the media doesn't want to let the truth get in the way of a good story." While he expresses sadness over the end of his marriage, Reynolds is asking that instead of defining or categorizing him, the public," just get to know me."

Kerrigan says, "I think that is the hardest job, to pick a name for somebody. We are not very good at that."

Sources close to Halle Berry are downplaying engagement rumors, People.com reports. The Oscar-winning actress was seen sporting a diamond ring on her left hand at an event over the weekend, leading to speculation that it was a gift from boyfriend Gabriel Aubry. But a source says, "It's not an engagement ring. Halle just saw it and thought it was beautiful so she bought it for herself."

Jackass star Steve-O pleaded not guilty to felony cocaine charges in a Los Angeles court on Tuesday (May 13th). Since his March 3rd arrest, Steve-O has checked into rehab and is now 64 days sober. "I feel good," he told E! News after the hearing. "Sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll was something I thought was good. I really ran away from my problems, they caught up to me, and now I'm not running anymore." Tuesday's preliminary hearing was continued to June 3rd.

ANGELINA JOLIE CONFIRMS SHE IS PREGNANT WITH TWINS

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are expecting twins, the actress confirmed on Wednesday (May 14th) after her Kung Fu Panda co-star Jack Black spilled the beans during a joint interview with Today Show's Natalie Morales. "You're going to have as many as the Brady Bunch when you have these," Black said during the sit-down in Cannes. "Yeah, yeah, we've confirmed that already," Jolie confessed to Morales. "Well, Jack's just confirmed it actually."

Although Star magazine recently reported that the Jolie-Pitts will welcome two more daughters, Jolie said that she was keeping the gender of her babies private.

DENNIS QUAID TESTIFIES BEFORE CONGRESS

Actor Dennis Quaid was in Washington, D.C. Wednesday (May 14th) to testify before Congress about the overdose of blood thinners his newborn twins were given at a Los Angeles hospital in November, E! Online reports. Quaid is suing Baxter Healthcare Corp., makers of the blood thinner heparin. Quaid said consumers would be turned into "uninformed and uncompensated lab rats" if they did have the right to take pharmaceutical companies to court and hold them accountable.

The Food and Drug Administration has argued that federal regulation supersedes the need for states to have mechanisms in place for such consumer lawsuits. Quaid told Congress, "Like many Americans, I believed that a big problem in our country was frivolous lawsuits. But now I know that the courts are often the only path to justice."

SARAH JESSICA PARKER SAYS CARRIE BRADSHAW HAS GROWN UP SOME

Sarah Jessica Parker's Sex And The City character, Carrie Bradshaw, has become an iconic figure for many viewers -- which presented a problem for the writers and producers of the new Sex And The City film. Parker says that in the four years since the show ended, the show-obsessed Carrie has had some more success, and is growing up: "By the time the movie comes around she's had... she's working on her third book (after) two previous best-sellers, so she's experiencing New York City in a different way, it's the first time she's really had money, it's the first time she's really been wise and smart enough and prudent enough to save money. She's much more of an adult in more traditional ways than she had been during the course of the show."

She says the changes shouldn't upset the long-term fans, however: "You can go from the last season to this movie and not think, 'Well, that's ludicrous, that's not the character anymore.' It definitely is, but it's definitely a person that's older and different whose tastes have changed, whose palate has changed, and that's what happens, you know, when you grow up."

In the Sex And The City movie, filmed on location all across New York City, Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon all reprise their roles from the original series, which ran on HBO from June of 1998 to February of 2004.

Washington says Grey's producers did not get his permission to use the photo. His publicist, Howard Bragman, says, "They have the rights of the character to advance the story, but not the image." He also says he expects a "financial settlement" in the matter.

A lawyer for Washington, who is currently filming a movie in New Orleans, had no comment. Neither did reps for ABC, the network that airs Grey's Anatomy.

Filming has begun on the fifth season of Dog the Bounty Hunter, with the show set to return to cable's A&E channel, the Associated Press reports. The reality series featuring Duane "Dog" Chapman and his associates chasing down bail jumpers around the country was pulled from the air in November after the emergence of a taped phone conversation in which Chapman used a racial slur in reference to his son's African-American girlfriend.

A&E spokesman Michael Feeney says network executives felt Chapman deserved a second chance after redeeming himself over the past few months. Feeney also says he doesn't believe Chapman is a racist.

Reruns of Dog the Bounty Hunter will begin airing on A&E June 25th, with new episodes set to debut a few weeks later.

BAND CLAIMS MILEY CYRUS STOLE THEIR TUNE

A Los Angeles band is accusing Miley Cyrus of stealing their tune for her hit song "Rockstar." Lustra claim that the song is a carbon copy of "Scotty Doesn't Know," which appeared on the soundtrack to the 2004 movie Eurotrip. "Although we are very flattered that Ms. Cyrus took this route, we would have preferred some credit," said guitarist Nick Cloutman. The band, who was alerted to the similarities by fans, is urging Disney followers to compare the songs themselves by visiting their MySpace page.

Lustra's spokesman said, "The immediate solution is to minimize leaks, and keep all future recordings in a vault, under extreme security."

ITEMS FROM CHARLTON HESTON FILMS GOING ON AUCTION BLOCK

In all, more than 1,000 pieces of Hollywood memorabilia will be auctioned on July 31st and August 1st by Profiles in History, located in Calabasas Hills, California. For information, go to ProfilesInHistory.com.

MADONNA FUNDING AFRICAN SCHOOL

Madonna is following in Oprah Winfrey's footsteps by investing in a multi-million dollar girls school that will be built in the African country of Malawi. The superstar's lawyer, Alan Chinula, revealed the project on Wednesday (May 14th), a day before her adoption of Malawian orphan David Banda is set to become final. "A task force of four prominent Malawians has already been formed to head the project which will be on the scale of what Oprah Winfrey has in South Africa," he told Reuters.

Winfrey recently opened a $40 million all-girl leadership academy in South Africa, but the institute was rocked by scandal when students revealed abuse at the hands of the staff.

Madonna won't be present for Thursday's (May 15th) adoption hearing in Malawi due to other engagements, but the singer's two-year-long bid to adopt Banda is expected to be granted.
