The Rolling Stones revealed via their website (TheRollingStones.com) that on Friday (February 14th) over 30 lucky fans, got to sit in during the band's final 14 On Fire rehearsals in Paris. In addition to the Stones -- Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ron Wood, and Charlie Watts -- the band is once again augmented by returning Stones guitarist Mick Taylor, keyboardist Chuck Leavell, horn players Bobby Keys and Tim Ries, along with backing vocalists Lisa Fischer and Bernard Fowler.
Among the 11 songs that the fans heard the Stones perform were:
"Doom And Gloom"
"She’s So Cold"
"Silver Train" (with Mick Taylor on guitar)
"Slipping Away" (with Keith Richards on lead vocals and Mick Taylor on guitar)
"Before They Make Me Run" (with Keith Richards on lead vocals)
"Paint It, Black"
"Sympathy For The Devil”
Mick Jagger told us that just because a song might've cooked during rehearsals hardly means that it'll be a hit when introduced onstage: "The thing about when you do running orders, is that it's completely hypothetical. You don't know if this song is going to work -- and you soon do. And you go out and you do it. And if it doesn't work. . . you don't know about songs.”
