Black Sabbath guitarist puts mansion on market

Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi has put his mansion in Lapworth, Warwickshire, England on the market for the U.K. equivalent of around $4.3 million, according to the Birmingham Post. The six-bedroom, 8,000-square-foot residence, built in 1905, is described as having original features such as stained glass, leaded light panels and open fireplaces, along with extensive gardens and grounds covering six acres.

Iommi told the Birmingham Mail in November 2012 that downsizing his lifestyle was a possibility after being diagnosed with cancer earlier that year, saying, "Maybe it’s time to scale down anyway and try to live more of a peaceful life.”

Black Sabbath will return to North America in 2014 for a series of 10 shows beginning on March 31st in Brooklyn, New York and winding down on April 26th in Los Angeles.

The gigs will be among the final shows that Sabbath does in support of its Grammy-winning album 13, which reunited Iommi, singer Ozzy Osbourne and bassist Geezer Butler for the first time in the studio since 1978's Never Say Die!.
