As expected Paul McCartney's Out There tour will play Brooklyn's new Barclays Center in June. The former Beatle will perform over two nights, on June 8th and 10th. The shows mark McCartney's first appearance in the "Big Apple" since his appearance at the 12-12-12 concert for Hurricane Sandy relief last December. Over the years, both with the Beatles and as a solo act, McCartney has played such legendary New York venues as Carnegie Hall, Shea Stadium, Madison Square Garden, Nassau Coliseum, the Lyceum Theatre, the Lonestar Cafe, the Ed Sullivan Theatre, the Highline Ballroom, Radio City Music Hall, the Apollo Theatre, Citi Field, and Yankee Stadium.
Brian Ray, McCartney's touring guitarist for the past dozen years, is still amazed by the former Beatle's onstage stamina: "We get a break, and he doesn't. He stands up there in front of the crowd for another, I don't know, 20 minutes more than we do, doing his solo bit in the middle. We get a break, and I am flattened by the end of the night!"
