Yes has just added 26 new shows to their itinerary, expanding the band's current "Three Album" tour through mid-August. The new tour is breaking new ground by having the band perform three full albums back-to-back -- 1971's The Yes Album, 1972's Closer To The Edge, and 1973's Going For The One. The latest lineup of Yes now consists of Chris Squire, Steve Howe, Alan White, Geoff Downes, and latest frontman Jon Davison.
Following an eight-date South American run, Yes will kick off its summer dates on July 7th at Saratoga, California's Mountain Winery and wrap the leg on August 14th in Rosemont, Illinois at the Akoo Theatre At Rosemont. Yes performs tonight (April 2nd) at Clearwater, Florida's Ruth Eckerd Hall.
Bassist Chris Squire admitted to us that the combination of Yes and new frontman Jon Davison both sounds and feels great: "Well, we feel very luck and fortunate to an extent that our paths have crossed. We'd known about him, actually from a few years back and quite how I forgot (laughs) that he'd come up in conversations I'd had with Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters, who went to school with him. Taylor always said to me, 'Oh, y'know, if you ever need someone to sing, I've got this guy!' 'OK, Taylor, thanks (laughs),' y'know?"
