Pat Benatar is back on the road with her husband, guitarist Neil Giraldo. The pair and their band kicked off their tour on Sunday night (March 24th) at Fort Pierce, Florida's Sunrise Theatre, and will be making their way across North America through the end of August.

Although Pat Benatar hasn't released a new studio album since 2003's Go collection, she and Neil Giraldo are happy to be operating far away from the major labels that shackled the couple artistically during the 1980s and '90s: "At our part in our lives, we're not interested in being part of the big machine. We're independent. I really enjoy this, we pretty much control everything that happens with anything that we record. So you're basically making pure records, you put them out when you feel like it. It's not about money, it's not about any of those things. So you actually get back to what you originally intended to do and what you thought it was really going to be about (laughs)." )
