NME reports that Metallica members James Hetfield and Robert Trujillo are set to appear as digital characters in the latest installment of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. The two Metallica members will be available as part of a downloadable package for XBox 360 and PlayStation 3 entitled Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 HD Revert Pack.

The player will be able to skate as Hetfield and Trujillo, and the Metallica song “All Nightmare Long” will also be used in the game. James Hetfield is an avid skater himself. But because of him breaking his arm several times while skating, his management company has forbidden Hetfield to skate while on tour with Metallica.

In related news Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett recently told Rolling Stone that the band will start working on a follow up to 2008’s Death Magnetic soon: “Once we're done with [3D concert film], we're going to start hunkering down and putting riffs together.”
