Styx has tagged on 14 new dates, which stretches their 2012 dates all the way through November. As it stands now, the band will kick off its next set of shows on August 24th in Boise, Idaho and wraps on November 18th in Scottsdale, Arizona. On November 16th and 17 Styx will perform 1977's The Grand Illusion and 1978's Pieces Of Eight in their entirety, along with an smattering of their greatest hits.

Earlier this year the band released its latest concert DVD, Styx: The Grand Illusion/Pieces Of Eight - Live. Guitarist J.Y. Young told us that the disc shows the band at their best playing their strongest material: "The Grand Illusion/Pieces Of Eight DVD came on Billboard chart at Number Seven and at was Amazon Blue-ray Number Two first week out. So there's still tremendous interest in that time frame. To me, those are our two greatest albums and we've done some other great work here and there. Those two records, I think, really were the ones to feature on the DVD."
