Aerosmith & Slash set for joint summer tour
Aerosmith was joined by Slash yesterday (April 8th) for a mini-set at L.A.’s legendary Whisky A Go Go to announce their joint summer Let Rock Rule Tour. The 18-date tour, which will see Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators opening for the Boston bad boys, and will take in stops at both outdoor amphitheaters and indoor arenas. The trek begins on July 10th at Wantagh, New York’s Nikon At Jones Beach Theater and wraps up on September 12th- Sydney, Nova Scotia. Lynyrd Skynyrd & Bad Company teaming up for 10-date summer run
Lynyrd Skynyrd and Bad Company will once again be heading out on the road together for a 10-date summer run. Things kick off on July 10th in Bangor, Maine at Waterfront and goes through July 25th when the shows wind down in Clarkston, Michigan at the DTE Energy Music Theatre. New documentary dredges up Kurt Cobain conspiracy theory
A new documentary dredging up the baseless and completely discredited theory that Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain was murdered and did not commit suicide is tentatively slated for release this year. Mick Fleetwood to star in new interview show
Mick Fleetwood has inked a deal for his own interview show, called 24 Hours With Mick, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Paul McCartney announces first 2014 U.S. dates
Paul McCartney has just announced the first four U.S. stops for his North American Out There Tour. The ongoing trek, which will hit South America, Japan, and South Korea over the next two months, has a total of four U.S. dates on the books for New Orleans, Louisiana on June 19th; Louisville, Kentucky on June 26th; Albany, New York on July 5th; and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 7th. Nirvana members to appear on 'Tonight Show' ahead of Rock Hall induction
Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic will appear as guests this Wednesday night (April 9th) on NBC's The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, one night before they're inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Thursday (April 10th). Slash completes new solo album
Slash and his backing band, Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, have finished recording the third album to be released under the Slash solo banner. A total of 17 songs, including one instrumental, were laid down for the follow-up to 2012's Apocalyptic Love. Singer Myles Kennedy recently told VH1 about the record, "It's good! It's very rock. It's very rocking. I think it's more up-tempo than the last record was, and (Slash has) got some really great riffs on this record. Ex-Eagles guitarist says best material came from Don Henley's breakups
