Tour mates Styx, REO Speedwagon, and Ted Nugent will be donating proceeds from each show to the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing. Ultimate Classic Rock reported that through Styx's Rock To The Rescue charity, which is led by guitarist Tommy Shaw's daughter Hannah, all three acts will sign a guitar which will raise funds via a silent raffle. 75 percent of the proceeds will go directly to the Boston victims, with the remaining 25 percent staying behind in the city of each show to benefit local charities.

Styx talked about helping out Boston through the Rock To The Rescue charity, saying in a statement: "Like all Americans, we have watched the events in Boston and wondered what we could we do to help. We know the fans of all three bands will once again rise with us to help our friends in Boston. We Are Boston!"

REO Speedwagon added: "We feel such sadness for those innocent people in Boston who have suffered so much and are still suffering now. We think of those victims of senseless violence as we sign the guitar which is to be donated on their behalf each night. In our small way, we do what we do."

Ted Nugent said: "The Nugent band and family are surrounded by Americans who care deeply about each other and are dedicated to give all we got in times of need. We again face a tragedy that we can all help with, and are proud of this charitable heart and soul effort."

No too long ago, we caught up with Styx co-founding guitarist J.Y. Young and asked him if fans can count on him, Shaw, and Nugent teaming up onstage during one of the stops on the tour: "Y'know, Tommy and Ted actually have their relationship. I, I think something will certainly happen, but I dare not predict (laughs) what it might be. I don't know. I'm certain something's gonna happen, but I look forward to being pleasantly surprised and delighted by it all."

Styx, REO Speedwagon, & Ted Nugent perform tonight (April 24th) in Glens Falls, New York at the Glens Falls Civic Center.
