Heart front-woman Ann Wilson likens the band's live show to being an almost sexual experience. The band, who'll kick off their next string of dates on March 9th in Penticton, British Columbia, will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Los Angeles on April 18th. Wilson spoke frankly about the connection that the latest edition of Heart has onstage, telling Classic Rock magazine, "There are different eras and the band has played different ways at different times with different line-ups. The line-up we have now -- we have a new bass player in Dan (Rothchild) -- but everyone else has been together for at least 10 years, and it is without a doubt the finest line-up because we really, really know each other."

Wilson went on to add: "When we go up there on stage together, the six of us are after something. I'd almost liken it to a sexual experience. When you are with someone and you both know that you're trying to reach some kind of summit. That's what we do when we go out there, we're trying to access something to touch that spark."

Ann Wilson told us that like Heart's heroes, she's proud that the band still tries to grow both in the studio as well as on stage: "Well, y'know, we're not bound by the Heart tradition. Heart is now a brand name that we worked really hard on, and now we're not selling that brand of soap. It's funny how you can get into a prison of your own making with a big-name band like that, and all of a sudden, you look around yourself and you go, 'Jesus, I don't want to do this. That's not really where we're at.'"
