Album Review: Music From Another Dimension | Aerosmith
Posted 11/6/2012 11:22:00 AM

Today Aerosmith released their new album, Music from Another Dimension. This is their 15th studio effort to be released and this time they have dug up good ol’ Jack Douglas to produce what has to be “The best Classic Rock Artist album release of 2012,” in my opinion. Right away, the song Street Jesus hooked me. Not only do Steven Tyler’s vocals sound great – they sound NATURAL. Not a whole lot of notice with the overdub or tone eliminators that my ears can tell of…which means he may actually, in his 64 years have kept his original chords this whole time. I am so impressed. The instrumentals alone hold their own…I would listen to this album without vocals, however I am glad they are there. For once, Aerosmith has created a “greatest hits” album without duplicating original work on a new press – this is a plethora of old sounds, quality work that we have grown to love and expect when we buy new albums from artists that are considered “Classic.” I could not urge our KSHE audience to buy this album more.

After you vote – go pick this one up, you will not be mad. I promise.

The tracks that stuck out to me the most:

Street Jesus
Can’t Stop Loving You (I am pretty gay for Carrie Underwood, too…)
Another Last Goodbye
Luv Xxx
Oh Yeah
Out Go The Lights

The Johnny Depp cameo doesn’t hurt, either.
