Alice in Chains is one of my favorite bands. Something about how any of these songs off of Dirt or Jar of Flies can take me directly back to my childhood – I was a little kid listening to this stuff and formulating thoughts about how these songs made me feel. The 90s were both a superficial, almost cartoon-like essence but there was also this dark, very frail portion to it as well…I was happy in the dark. Here are few of my favorite takes/videos from Alice in Chains – they should send you right back. William DuVall is a great replacement vocalist, but nothing like the original with Layne.
I’ve always lived better in the dark.
