Happy Birthday KSHE!
Posted 11/6/2012 5:27:00 PM

In honor of the 45th Birthday of KSHE 95, I have decided to write a sappy loveletter to this ridiculous-awesome job I have.

enjoy.

KSHE is my first HUGE radio job – probably the best radio job I will ever have, and I hope to ride this wave for as long as it will have me. I know I am working with some of the most ruthless, hilarious, idiotic, smartest, completely candid and honest radio personalities that have ever existed – some of them don’t reside on our airwaves anymore, but they are still legends to me. I am so blessed to be a part of the KSHE era – even if people complain about how “Mainstream” we are now…it’s the principle that back in 1967, before I was even an idea, this radio station paved the way for all radio stations, especially rock around the whole world. Album Review: Music From Another Dimension | Aerosmith
Posted 11/6/2012 11:22:00 AM

Today Aerosmith released their new album, Music from Another Dimension. This is their 15th studio effort to be released and this time they have dug up good ol’ Jack Douglas to produce what has to be “The best Classic Rock Artist album release of 2012,” in my opinion. Right away, the song Street Jesus hooked me. Not only do Steven Tyler’s vocals sound great – they sound NATURAL. Not a whole lot of notice with the overdub or tone eliminators that my ears can tell of…which means he may actually, in his 64 years have kept his original chords this whole time. I am so impressed. The instrumentals alone hold their own…I would listen to this album without vocals, however I am glad they are there. For once, Aerosmith has created a “greatest hits” album without duplicating original work on a new press – this is a plethora of ...

6am Klassic: ELO
Posted 11/6/2012 6:03:00 AM

Electric Light Orchestra "Ma Ma Ma Belle" from the 1973 album On the Third Day. In the UK, the single version had a slightly different mix from the album original featuring a descending string crescendo and was edited in length. Marc Bolan plays twin lead guitar on the track alongside his friend Jeff Lynne, the pair had previously played on Bolans T. Rex hit Solid Gold Easy Action. "Ma-Ma-Ma Belle" also featured on The ELO EP in 1978. In the UK the B-side "Oh No Not Susan" found its way on to various DJs play lists at the BBC unaware that the songs lyrics contained profanity.

All songs written by Jeff Lynne unless otherwise indicated.

 Side one

  1. "Ocean Breakup/King of the Universe" – 4:07
  2. "Bluebird Is Dead" – 4:42
  3. "Oh No Not Susan" – 3:07
