Alternate Routes

To avoid Highway 40 reconstruction, try taking I-44 or I-70 downtown to visit the arch. Along I-44 you can stop to eat on The Hill.

Metrolink

Metrolink stops at some of the best areas in St. Louis. Visit the Delmar Loop by riding the Metrolink to the Delmar station, then head downtown to catch a Cardinals’ game.

If you get into a crash on the interstates, pull your vehicle to the shoulder if the vehicle is drivable. If the shoulder is too small for your vehicle, drive to the nearest exit ramp and park in a safe place to exchange information with the other driver.
