3rd Annual Dan Mueller Memorial Golf Outing
3rd Annual Dan Mueller Memorial Golf Outing The purpose of the Dan Mueller Memorial Fund is to celebrate Dan, who lost his life at 25 at the hands of a drunk driver, and Dan's life by "Sharing and Caring"-sharing time, talents and blessings, and caring for children in need. All proceeds will be donated to Angels' Arms. Assist with "Sharing and Caring" as a hole sponsor or by donating to silent auction. Crumbs from the Table of Joy by Lynn Nottage directed by Linda Kennedy
African-American teenager Ernestina Crumb uses movie fantasies to escape from the challenges of her recent move to New York and a most unexpected Step-Mother .Performances are August 27 - September 12, 2010, Thursday-Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Student matinees are Thursdays, September 2nd, and 9th  at 10:00 AM and Saturday September 11th at 4:00 PM.  All performances are at the Fontbonne University Black Box Theatre in the Fine Arts Building at 6800 Wydown Boulevard in Clayton. Tickets are $20.00 for general admission, $15.00 for seniors (65+) and students. VIP tickets that include an MST coffee mug and one bakery item are available for $30.00 each.  Group rates are available.

United Way’s kickoff event
United Way’s kickoff event on Tuesday, September 7, from 5:30 – 7 p.m., sponsored by the St. Louis Blues at the Bud Light Zone in the Scottrade Center, 1401 Clark Avenue, downtown St. Louis. Get a peek at some of the special items in United Way’s online auction, enjoy live music, food, meet Louie, the Blues hockey mascot, and more. This and the other surrounding events signify the beginning of United Way’s annual fundraising campaign. United Way helps one in three people in this region through its 2-1-1 help line, the nearly 200 local agencies it supports and a number of other community programs. The Missouri Career Centers-Saint Louis County are sponsoring a Career Fair. Wednesday, September 8, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Jewish Community Center (Staenberg Complex, 2 Millstone Campus Drive, Creve Coeur, Missouri 63146). Last year’s event attracted over 1,200 participants and 50 employers.  This year career seekers can meet with an anticipated 60 area employers with available positions.
